Chapter 240 A Ling, where are you?
"Understood." Su Ming's heart tightened, and he quickly hung up the phone. He turned to A Ling and said, "We have to leave immediately, otherwise we will be caught."
"But our intelligence hasn't been processed yet!" A Ling's voice was filled with anxiety.
"I know, but now is not the time to think about that," Su Ming said, weighing all his options in his mind. He knew that if he didn't evacuate in time, he might lose everything.
"Let's go!" He decisively pulled Ah Ling up and ran with her outside. In the night, the hustle and bustle of the city contrasted sharply with their nervousness. It seemed that no one would notice the two figures running in the dark.
They sped towards an unknown direction, their hearts filled with uncertainty and fear for the future. Just then, the sound of pursuit echoed from behind them, as if the Grim Reaper were stalking them. Su Ming vowed silently that he and A Ling would never be captured. They had to find a way out, no matter the challenges and dangers that lay ahead.
Su Ming hurried along with Ah Ling in the night, his heart filled with anxiety. As the sounds of pursuit drew closer, he felt a surge of pressure. Every step felt like a race against time, and the enemy's roars seemed to echo in his ears.
"Su Ming, where should we go?" A Ling's voice was filled with anxiety and helplessness, and her eyes flashed with fear.
"There's an old friend's hideout not far from here," Su Ming responded quickly, his mind constantly calculating his escape route. He knew time was running out, and he had to find a safe place as soon as possible.
At a corner, he suddenly stopped, his strong intuition telling him that the enemy was approaching from behind. Su Ming whispered, "Quick, hide in this small shop."
Ah Ling nodded, and the two of them quickly slipped into a nondescript grocery store. Su Ming lowered his voice and surveyed his surroundings. The shelves were filled with all sorts of merchandise, and a mirror in the corner reflected their nervous faces.
"How long can we stay here?" A Ling asked in a low voice, looking nervous.
"As long as I don't attract attention, I can avoid them for the time being," Su Ming thought to himself, trying to calm himself down. However, the uneasiness in his heart lingered.
At this moment, the voices of several enemies came from outside the door. Su Ming felt a chill and whispered to A Ling: "They are coming, keep quiet."
They held their breath as they heard the sound of approaching footsteps. The enemy's conversation was indistinct, but it made Su Ming's heart beat faster, as if he could hear every word. Outside the door, an enemy said in a deep voice, "They should be nearby. They can't escape."
"Check every place and don't let them escape." The other person's voice was cold and firm.
Su Ming's heart tightened, sensing the urgency of the situation. He secretly decided that if he was discovered, he would never let Ah Ling get hurt. He silently told himself that he had to find a way to escape.
"They are looking for us." A Ling's voice trembled slightly, and her hands were clenched tightly, as if she felt the threat from all sides.
"Don't be afraid, stay calm." Su Ming held her hand, trying to offer some comfort. They leaned against the shelves, their eyes fixed on the store door, praying silently in their hearts.
As the enemy approached, an idea flashed through Su Ming's mind. He whispered, "I'll make some noise to attract their attention. You can use this opportunity to escape through the back door."
"Are you crazy? I can't leave you!" A Ling retorted anxiously.
"There's no time for discussion! You must survive." Su Ming's eyes were firm, knowing this was the only way. A fearlessness surged in his heart, as if he had made up his mind.
"Okay, I'll wait for you!" A Ling gritted her teeth, her eyes flashing with reluctance and anxiety.
"Wait for me, I'll be back." Su Ming took a deep breath, his inner tension transformed into strength. He stood up and walked to the shelf on the side of the store, ready to make a move that would attract attention.
"Hurry up!" He suddenly shouted loudly, deliberately raising his voice so that it echoed in the small space. Then he knocked over several items with force, making a loud noise.
The enemy outside the door immediately stopped and turned. Su Ming seized the opportunity and quickly ran towards the back door. A sense of urgency surged in his heart. He heard the enemy's footsteps rushing towards him.
Ah Ling hesitated, but she knew she had no time, so she quickly ran towards the back door. As Su Ming rushed out the door, he shouted to Ah Ling, "Quick, get out!"
He instantly realized he was making a choice from which there was no turning back. He was willing to take any risk to ensure her safety. The enemy behind him was already approaching, and he looked back to see that Ah Ling had escaped safely, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Go find a safe place!" Su Ming shouted at her, feeling a wave of guilt and unease. Ah Ling nodded and quickly disappeared into the night.
He turned, ready to face the incoming enemy. Several enemies rushed into the grocery store, and Su Ming didn't hesitate, relying on his trained instincts to swiftly counterattack. He engaged in a fierce battle with his enemies, his only concern being protecting everything he held dear.
During the fight, his consciousness gradually became clearer. Although he was facing life-threatening danger, he also felt the determination and courage in his heart. He knew that he was not only fighting for survival, but also for hope for him and A Ling.
"Catch him!" The enemy's voice echoed in his ears. Su Ming's heart tightened, and he decided not to hold back. He used all his strength, punched an enemy down, and took the opportunity to rush out.
The brightly lit streets of the night illuminated his exhausted yet determined face. He felt pressure from all sides, yet his inner conviction grew stronger. Without time to hesitate, Su Ming quickly chose a direction and pursued Ah Ling's escape route.
As he ran desperately, A Ling's smile kept appearing in his mind, as if it was his only reason to survive. Although the road ahead was difficult and dangerous, he had made up his mind to find her no matter what and face the challenges of the future together again.
Su Ming ran frantically through the streets, his heart pounding with anxiety. He tried to recall the direction Ah Ling might have fled, and her determined expression flashed through his mind. In that moment, he knew he couldn't give up; her safety was his mission.
"A Ling, where are you?" He called out softly, his voice echoing in the empty streets, but there was no response. It was already late at night, and the silence around him made him feel extremely lonely.
Turning a corner, he suddenly saw an abandoned building. With a sudden thought, he decided to take shelter inside. Cautiously, he pushed open a rusty door and walked in. The interior was dark and damp, and the air was filled with a stale smell.
