Chapter 244
Chapter 244
The second elder calmly said. "I will follow the masters' words. " However, if Tang san can defeat old seven, I wish to add three extra conditions. Please do not worry, my demands can be made after everything is done, and will pose no harm to him, it would merely be for the benefit of the sect."With Tang Xiaos' knowledge of the man and the second elder's calmness, he understood that even if they might have a different option from
his own, they would ultimately do what was best for the sect.
The second elder's gaze still fell on Tang Yin, whose own look was crystal clear as she stared back, firmly, unyielding as much as her brother as she gritted her teeth. "Do not forget, though." She made a gesture at the seventh elder. "Apologise for insulting our mother."
Tang Xiao, seeing her grim expression and the clear insult that hung in the room, sighed.
"He will apologise." Glaring at the seventh elder. "If he wins, you will apologise."
The seventh elder set up to protest but was quieted by the other elders. They carried the same dislike for the one who had cost them their clan, but they all saw the insult and the desire for an apology, considering that the other party's mother was the one who had caused it. Would any of them have reacted otherwise if the insulted party were their mother?
Tang Xiao took a deep breath. "We will handle it like that then. I still have something to declare, though." Tang Xiao pulled out the long black case Tang San had delivered from his storage ring. "Tang Hao separated himself from the sect and carried with him two great spirit bones. When he sent his children to return so they may acknowledge their ancestors, he also had them bring back those spirit bones." Tang Xiao opened the case. The light coming from the bones is clear.
"I think this is enough to prove his regret." Tang Xiao said his eyes were closed. "Or he would have kept those, or accorded them to Tang San." The fury in the elders' eyes slowly vanished as they widened in shock. The second elder sighed. "Even if he has separated himself from the sect, he is the son of the old sect master. It seems he did not forget where he came from."
Every person present understood. For these bones to be here, it either meant Tang Hao had become greatly weakened or a cripple if he was not dead. His strength was no longer what it had once been, and even though they were angry over the trouble he had caused, he had also brought honour to the clan, proving their strength to the entire world.
Tang Xiao walked to the elders and handed the spirit bones to one of them. "You handle them, award them to whom you consider worthy."
The second Elder nodded, understanding that Tang Xiao was showing them respect; otherwise, he would have kept those bones for himself. He did have the authority to do so as the sect elder.

The bridge was not very far, and for a moment Yin thought it might have been better if they had switched roles. She had Wings; Tang San didn't.
An inner voice said, and she agreed she hadn't. In front of her, the seventh elder and her brother positioned themselves. Above the elder, she sighed, and what she had already guessed: nine rings, a lot of black. "Now at least it is not a red one." She muttered to Tang Yuehua, who was standing next to her, glancing at her.
"You do know only Bibi Dong and your father were ever able to call a century millennium spirit ring their own."
She glanced upwards.
"You do realise whom you are talking to in that regard, no?" She asked, and Yuehua nodded.
"I do, which is why I am not surprised."
In front of them, the battle started rather spectacularly as Tang Long looked at them in confusion. "I just arrived because I did not want to miss that. Are you two sure you are sane?" He asked, and they both sent him a very cool look.
"The very first thing to consider when fighting in a place like that is not the enemy but yourself, or rather, how you are going to survive. To fight on that cable, you need absolute confidence in yourself that you know what you are doing." Tang Yin muttered. "Or you have someone to come pick you up in a pinch. Aunt Yuehua, if Tang San falls, will they take it badly that I'm rescuing him?"
"Most likely," Yuehua muttered. "But then again, you also have a decent chance of frightening the living lights out of them." She tilted her head, and Tang Long blinked, looking at her as she made a victory sign with her hand.
"I am not a damsel in distress." She informed him, and Yuehua, next to her, almost chuckled.
"Certainly not." She admitted. "With the elder only using forty per cent of his power, it is also not said that your brother will lose. I have to say it is an undecided battle. But now, shush, they are starting."
