Shen Nian hurriedly and carefully moved away the debris covering it, fearing that he would accidentally hurt Li Jichu underneath.
"Xiaochu, hold on! We will be able to rescue you soon!" Shen Nian shouted while speeding up the cleaning movements in his hands.
As bundles of straw and adobe were removed, a small space gradually emerged. Li Jichu was curled up inside with a pale face.
"Xiaochu? Are you injured? Can you move?" Shen Nian asked anxiously, while reaching out to pull Li Jichu.
Li Jichu shook his head weakly, indicating that he was fine. With the help of Shen Nian and Shen Nian'an, he slowly crawled out of the rubble. Although he looked depressed, he had no obvious external injuries.

Before Li Jichu could finish his words, his body fell to the side weakly. Fortunately, Shen Nian was holding him and pulled him up in time.
"Xiao An and Xiao Le, you two help Xiao Chu first." Shen Nian ordered.

The three of them hurried back home. Shen Nianle immediately ran to the cowshed opposite to find Wang Yiming. Shen Nian put Li Jichu on the kang and found Shen Nian'an's clothes to change him.

She knew that Li Jichu's forehead was a little hot just now. She touched it again and found that it was getting even hotter. Li Jichu's stomach also started to rumble at an inopportune time.
Shen Nian made a quick decision and ordered the Shen Nian'an brothers to go to the kitchen and make some porridge with last night's leftovers. She hurried back to the room to get some fever-reducing medicine and fed it to Li Jichu with the interstellar spring water.
Then, he gently applied a wet towel soaked in space spring water on Li Jichu's forehead. After doing all this, Shen Nian breathed a sigh of relief, went out of the house and replaced Shen Nianle to look after Li Jichu.
Not long after, Shen Nian came in with a bowl of steaming white rice porridge. She whispered to Shen Nianle, who was nodding and dozing off, "Xiao Le, go and get Xiao An some water. Take a hot bath, drink a bowl of ginger soup, and then come back to sleep."
Shen Nianle nodded dazedly, ran out and brought in water with Shen Nian'an, and after finding some dry clothes, the two brothers took a shower next to Shen Nian, changed their clothes, and then crawled over to lie down next to Li Jichu.
"Sister, is Xiaochu okay? Can he go to class tomorrow?"
Shen Nianle asked with concern, his eyes half open. Finally, Shen Nian replied that he didn't hear anything clearly, and then his eyes drooped and he fell asleep.
Shen Nian looked at his reaction and couldn't help but chuckle. Seeing that Shen Nian'an still had his eyes open, he whispered to comfort him:
"Xiao An, don't worry. Xiao Chu has taken medicine and his head isn't that hot anymore. I'll be watching over him. You should go to bed soon too. You have to get up early for school tomorrow."
After hearing what her sister said, Shen Nian'an felt a little relieved. She blinked her tired eyes, but finally couldn't resist the sleepiness, closed her eyes and fell asleep.
After Shen Nian returned to the house and changed into dry clothes, he sat by the kang and watched over Li Jichu. From time to time, he changed the wet towel on his forehead to make sure he was comfortable.
The sound of rain outside the house gradually subsided. Shen Nian was not sleepy. She recalled everything that had just happened, feeling both fear and relief.
Fortunately, they found and rescued Li Jichu in time; what was scary was that if Shen Nian'an had not mentioned Li Jichu at that time, would he have ignored this issue.

Li Jichu shook his head, his eyes revealing gratitude: "Much better. Sister Nian Nian, have you been here to watch over me all this time?"
"Well, we are all worried about you. Didn't you eat tonight? Let me help you up and feed you some porridge."
As Shen Nian spoke, he stepped forward to support Li Jichu and placed two pillows behind him to make him sit more comfortably.
After settling Li Jichu, Shen Nian entered the main room and brought over the bowl of porridge that had been kept warm in the space.
Shen Nian scooped a small spoonful and fed it to Li Jichu's mouth. Li Jichu was suddenly at a loss. He quickly reached out to take the spoon from Shen Nian's hand.
Shen Nian gently patted the back of his hand: "I'll feed you. Are you so hungry now that you still have the energy to hold a spoon?"
Upon hearing this, Li Jichu put down his hand awkwardly and obediently opened his mouth to eat the porridge in the spoon.
Shen Nian patiently repeated the feeding action until the bowl of porridge was empty, and then put the bowl aside.
