Chapter 492 Everyone Calls Me 'Cinderella' 10
After drinking the medicine, Cinderella slept in the attic for the whole afternoon.
After being woken up by Crane, her head was no longer so dizzy.
"Crane, what time is it?" It was getting dark outside. Could the dance have already started?
Crane stood on the cabinet and said, "Cinderella, you haven't had a good meal today. Eat something first. I promise that I will allow you to attend the palace ball tonight!"
"Well, I am indeed hungry!"
After having a full meal, Gu Li went down from the attic and strolled around the garden behind the manor under the pretext of taking a walk to digest the food.
I turned around and around, but there was no sign of the fairy godmother.
"Crane, do you think the Fairy Godmother will show up to help me?"
Crane followed Cinderella closely, and upon hearing this, he asked, "Cinderella, do you want the fairy godmother to help you realize your wish?"
Can't it?
"Ah? My mother once said that the Fairy Godmother will help kind and loving people! If you are in trouble, you can pray to the Fairy Godmother. When the Fairy Godmother knows, she will definitely protect us."
"Cinderella, your wish will come true."
"Yeah, I know, I believe in fairy godmothers!"
Crane: -----
"Your wishes can come true without a fairy godmother."
"I will pray sincerely."
Crane: -----
That doesn't seem to be what it means!
The man and the bird chatted idly as they walked around the back garden. If they walked further out, they would reach the sea of flowers where their mother was buried.
"Oh, I don't know when the Fairy Godmother will come to see me!"
Crane didn't speak for a long time.
Then, "Cinderella, I have to leave for a while."
"Hmm? It's getting dark. Where are you going?"
Crane hesitated for a long time, "I have something urgent to do, I-----"
"Okay, Crane, be careful when flying at night."
Crane soon flew away and disappeared. Gu Li simply sat down in front of her mother's grave and sighed sadly.
"Mother, Mrs. Temaine and her two daughters are going to the ball, and they won't take me with them. Mother, Rilla misses you so much!"
"Oh, which poor little thing is crying here?" Suddenly, little stars flashed in the sky, and along with the stars there appeared an elf lady wearing a half cloak.
"Who are you?" Gu Li suppressed the excitement in her heart. Finally, what she had been waiting for came.
"Oh, dear Cinderella, I'm the Fairy Godmother!"
"You actually know my name!" Gu Li exclaimed, "I actually met the Fairy Godmother!"
The fairy godmother waved her magic wand and said, "Don't be sad. I will help you go to the ball."
"But my stepmother has already left in the only carriage in the manor!"
"I have a solution."
"I don't have a pretty dress to wear to the ball!"
The fairy godmother smiled but said nothing. She used magic to turn the pumpkin into a carriage, the mice into horses, the goose into a coachman, the lizard into a page, and turned Cinderella's shabby clothes into a gorgeous evening gown.
The sky blue velvet skirt was decorated with British lace. Gu Li lifted the folded and grand skirt and turned around in a circle. "Wow, I have never worn such a beautiful skirt."
The Fairy Godmother said to Cinderella, "Well, now you can go to the ball."
Cinderella shrank back and said in embarrassment: "But my shoes----"
The fairy godmother then noticed that Cinderella was still wearing coarse cloth shoes. She waved her magic wand again, and a faint golden light circled around the magic wand and then around Cinderella's ankles.
The cloth shoes turned into crystal shoes.
Gu Li lifted her skirt and crossed her feet. It looked pretty, but it hurt her feet a little. But for the sake of beauty, she could overcome this little discomfort for the time being.
After Cinderella was dressed up, she walked towards the carriage.
However, the fairy godmother said to her: "These magics can only last until midnight. If it passes midnight, your carriage will turn back into a pumpkin, your horse will turn back into a mouse, your servants will turn back into lizards, and your clothes will return to their original state."
Cinderella promised her godmother that she would not forget to leave the ball before midnight. She climbed into the pumpkin carriage with great joy.
As soon as one foot stepped into the carriage, Cinderella paused again. She turned around and looked at the sky which had completely turned dark. "Fairy Godmother, have you ever seen a little white dove that can talk? Its name is Crane!"
Crane has been away for a while. If he comes back and can't find me, will he be worried?
The wings behind the Fairy Godmother flapped faster. "I didn't see it, but I can leave a message for it for you."
The fairy godmother waved her magic wand again, and this time the magic flew to the attic where Cinderella lived. After a while, a fat mouse stood out on the balcony, and in the darkness, Mr. Mouse nodded to them humanely.
"Go!" said the Fairy Godmother.
Cinderella did not hesitate any longer and took the carriage to the palace.
After Cinderella left, a little white dove flew out from behind the chimney of the attic. It looked into the eyes of the Fairy Godmother, who smiled and nodded, then turned and disappeared.
The little white dove, as if abandoned, flew to the balcony, staring at the direction where the pumpkin carriage disappeared without blinking.
With the help of magic, the mouse horse galloped all the way and finally arrived at the dance.
When Cinderella arrived, the ball was almost over.
After dealing with it for the entire night, Prince Henry was able to maintain his last bit of patience due to his inherent kindness.
Cinderella, who walked into the hall from the side door, happened to run into Prince Henry who was about to take a break.
"Sorry, sorry, did I bump into you?"
Henry covered his chin and lowered his eyes to see a beautiful lady in a sky blue velvet dress covering her forehead and apologizing to him continuously.
"I'm fine. I just walked too fast without paying attention. Are you okay, miss?"
"I-I'm fine too!"
"Whose lady are you? Why don't I seem to have seen you tonight?"
Gu Li looked at the tall, handsome man with short dark brown hair and guessed his identity at a glance.
Gu Li decisively introduced herself, "My name is Rilla, the youngest daughter of the late Count Joseph."
"Your name is Ella?" Prince Henry was startled at first, then his eyes brightened a little as he looked at Ella, with an imperceptible look of scrutiny.
Gu Li frowned.
Why did she have a bad feeling?
Gu Li's original plan was to follow the plot, wait until she got close to the prince and then fight for power, strive to become the queen, and let Cinderella achieve a real counterattack.
Otherwise, why would she be willing to live under the watchful eyes of Lady Temane? It was for the opportunity to meet Prince Henry.
But what about this shrewdness of Prince Henry that cannot be hidden even in his eyes?
Isn’t Prince Henry in the fairy tale a love-minded man who goes around the country looking for a lover with a pair of shoes?
"Count Joseph, I know!" Prince Henry smiled more sincerely. He leaned towards Cinderella and stretched out his hand, making an invitation gesture.
"Dear Miss Ella, may I ask you to dance with me?"
Suddenly, all the lights seemed to focus on Cinderella. Most of the people in the ballroom looked over here, and the ladies of marriageable age used their murderous eyes to look at the woman who appeared out of nowhere and stood in front of Prince Henry.
Gu Li:-----
