The Zerg Queen, who is assigned to me, wants to kill me!

Chapter 12 If you had agreed earlier...

Chapter 12 If you had agreed earlier...

Snapped!

Snapped!

Snapped!

The sound of a whip striking an object rang out in a windowless room.

On the smooth, flat wall, various instruments of torture of all sizes were displayed, making it look like a torture chamber for torturing prisoners.

Some of the torture instruments even still had traces of blood that hadn't been completely cleaned off.

A chain hung from the ceiling of the enclosed room, its end tightly wrapped around the wrist of an adult man.

The man was suspended high by iron chains, with only his toes touching the ground.

The man's upper body clothing had been torn to shreds by the whip, leaving only his trousers intact.

In front of the man stood a man holding a whip. The man was cracking a black whip with barbs.

With a loud slap, it struck the man hard, and from his left shoulder down, another stream of blood gushed out.

The man gritted his teeth and frowned in pain, knowing that his cries of pain would only serve as an aphrodisiac for the person opposite him.

As if he hadn't heard the man's cries of pain, the man swung the whip even harder.

Finally, the man threw away the whip and picked up a pair of pliers that looked like an eagle's beak, small and exquisite, gleaming with a cold light.

The man approached the man, a cruel smile on his face. After observing for a moment, he chose the area near the man's ribs, pried open the rag there, and used eagle-beak-like pliers to cut open the flesh.

Blood quickly gushed from the torn flesh, staining the eagle-beak-like pincers red. The man couldn't help but tense his muscles, trying to alleviate the pain.

"Hmph, no matter how arrogant you are, no matter how proud you are, Ling Yi, you lowly female insect, you're just like your female father, you only listen when you're beaten," Ling Huiyao's vicious voice rang out.

Ling Yi's forehead was covered in sweat, and his breathing was rapid, clearly indicating that he was in great pain.

But she remained silent, closing her eyes and enduring the pain, thinking to herself that it was fortunate she had eaten at the male insect's house beforehand, otherwise being beaten on an empty stomach would have been even more unbearable.

Just thinking about how the male insect smiled so brightly at him when he left made the pain in his body feel a little lessened.

Suddenly, another sharp pain struck.

Ugh! Ling Yi, who had slightly relaxed his mind, couldn't help but let out a muffled groan.

Hearing the sound he wanted, Ling Huiyao finally smiled with satisfaction, pulled out the bloody pliers, and casually tossed them onto the small cart next to him.

[A multi-functional nursing cart similar to those used in hospitals]

“I have already told Xiong’s father that Lord Meng Jun has taken a liking to you.”

"My father was overjoyed when he found out and plans to discuss your marriage with Lord Meng Jun tomorrow. How does that sound? Aren't you happy?"

Ling Huiyao kept uttering malicious words.

As he walked around admiring Ling Yi's wounds, he would occasionally poke them with a tool to make the already turned-out flesh look even more gruesome.

"You know, you were going to be married off anyway, so why did you refuse that day?"

"You always have to make me angry. If you had agreed earlier, I wouldn't have gotten this beating today. Now you've made me so tired." Ling Huiyao said with a face full of resentment.

“My dear brother, you should be so glad that your face has won the favor of His Excellency Meng Jun.”

If it weren't for him... Just for making me lose so much face, I would never have let you off so easily!

Ling Huiyao's eyes were full of malice. He raised his hand again and stabbed it hard into Ling Yi's flesh. Blood gushed out. It seemed that he had cut a small blood vessel.

Ling Huiyao originally sought out his male father, hoping that his father would assign Ling Yi to the lowest-ranking male insect.

But Xiong's father not only disagreed, but also said he wanted to find Ling Yi a man from a good family.

"Why should I? It's just a female insect. There are more than one in the family. What difference does it make if Ling Yi is gone?" Ling Huiyao immediately lost his temper.

When Xiong's father saw how angry he was, he asked him why. When he learned that Lord Meng Jun had taken a liking to Ling Yi, he not only scolded him but also told him to contact Lord Meng Jun to discuss the specifics of the marriage.

Fortunately, in the end, the male insect, in order to appease him, said he would call Ling Yi back and lock him in the punishment room so that he could calm down.

Aside from avoiding injuries to the face and vital organs, anything minor is fine. After all, Ling Yi still needs to be delivered to Lord Meng Jun, and if the injuries are too severe, it might spoil Lord Meng Jun's enjoyment.

That's why the current scene happened.

This torture continued until midnight, when Ling Huiyao finally got tired of beating him.

Ling Yi was hanging by iron chains, the ground around his feet was covered in blood, and his body was covered except for his neck and face.

His body was covered in blood, his skin torn and flesh ripped open. Ling Yi's breathing was weak, as if he had fainted.

Ling Huiyao was amused by Ling Yi's half-dead appearance and finally stopped. Looking at his masterpiece, he smiled with satisfaction.

Ling Huiyao walked out of the closed room, turned off the only power source and closed the door.

In the pitch-black room, only the sound of dripping water and Ling Yi's breathing could be heard.

After a while, Ling Yi opened his eyes. The room was pitch black, and he couldn't see anything, so he simply closed his eyes.

Relying solely on instinct, Ling Yi first used his legs to explore the surroundings, and when he encountered a cart that had not been moved, he hooked it over with his leg.

The creaking sound of the pulley being pulled echoed in the quiet, dark room as Ling Yi swept the torture instruments off with his leg.

The metal fell to the ground, and the clanging sound continued to echo in the darkness.

Ling Yi painstakingly groped along the chain with his fingers, finally pulling hard on it to lift himself into the air.

Then she sat on the cart next to her, hooked her leg over it, and her wrist, which had been being pulled, finally got a chance to breathe.

Ling Yi sat on the cart, seemingly exhausted, panting heavily. He felt his injuries; they were just superficial wounds, though painful enough.

However, it wasn't considered serious for the female insect's constitution. Ling Yi remained silent for a moment, then thought of something.

He gave a cryptic chuckle, then fell silent, quietly waiting for dawn.

The sky outside the villa gradually brightened, as if someone had painted a layer of pink on the pale blue horizon.

The morning sun was warm and bright. Qi Min had a rare dreamless night and lazily turned over, enjoying the comfort of just waking up.

After lingering in bed for a while, Qi Min reached for the personal terminal next to him, wondering whether he should send a message to Ling Yi.

Worried about bothering him again, I thought about it for a while and then sent it anyway.

"Have you finished your work? If you have time, would you like to come over for dinner today? I can cook you some other dishes."

Although Ling Yi's last words yesterday were somewhat ambiguous, Qi Min decided to ignore them for now and take it as Ling Yi's agreement.

'Besides, whether he's free or not... shouldn't we ask first? How will we know if we don't ask? What if he's free?' Qi Min thought with a bit of a cheeky grin.

After waiting for a while, no information appeared from the quantum computer.

Qi Min thought for a moment and decided that Ling Yi might still be busy, so it wasn't a good idea to bother him like before.

I thought about it and realized there wasn't much food left in the fridge. Maybe I should go buy some more?

Without hesitation, Qi Min quickly tidied himself up and went out to start his shopping spree again.
