Chapter 203 Heartbroken
Chapter 203 Heartbroken
"Qiaoyun, I thought we had made an appointment last night for me to pick you up," Feng Jiashu said with a faint smile.
He Qiaoyun then realized that Feng Jiashu's words last night meant he wanted to ask her out.
She looked at the two men in front of her and gave an awkward smile. "How about we go together?"
Liu Biao pouted, looking at Feng Jiashu with obvious disdain, "I don't want to be with him, he's so hypocritical."
Feng Jiashu said, "Two people are enough to buy a car. Having an extra person can easily lead to more disagreements and affect the car buying experience."
Even Liu Biao, who was very straightforward, could hear the sarcasm in his words and was immediately displeased. He snorted and said, "Qiaoyun, Feng Jiashu is right. It's fine for the two of us to go. He's a very busy man, so let's not waste his time, right?"
Feng Jiashu cracked his knuckles, maintaining his elegant demeanor, and retorted, "It's the weekend today, so I'm not busy. Besides, I've booked two tickets for the auto show. Qiaoyun, let's go and check out the auto show."
Liu Biao frowned, inwardly cursing: Why does he have to make such a fuss...?
He took out his phone and texted one of his younger colleagues: "Get me two tickets to the auto show right now."
The younger guy replied instantly: "Dude, you've finally got it!"
Liu Biao asked, puzzled: "What do you mean by 'opening up'?"
Young man: [Let's go see the car models.]
Liu Biao: [Get lost! I want to see cars, not car models. Stop arguing and go book your tickets. If all else fails, buy them from scalpers.]
Young man: [Oh.....]
He Qiaoyun was somewhat intrigued when she heard about the auto show.
Liu Biao said, "Qiaoyun, I also booked tickets for the auto show. I'll go with you."
He Qiaoyun looked at Liu Biao, then at Feng Jiashu, and said, "Then... shall we go together?"
The two men knew she was in a difficult position, so they exchanged a glance and found themselves finding each other agreeable.
Liu Biao muttered, "He got off easy," and then invited, "Come on, get in my car."
Feng Jiashu also invited, "Have a ride in my car."
He Qiaoyun released the brake lever of the electric scooter and honked the horn. "The convention center isn't far from here. I can drive this. I'll head over first."
After saying that, she didn't give them time to grab her, turned the handlebars and drove forward, tossing a "See you later" message to the two people behind her.
Liu Biao and Feng Jiashu instinctively gave chase, but they couldn't even catch up with the back of her car.
Liu Biao retorted to Feng Jiashu, "Feng Jiashu, you've found yourself to be quite boring. Look, now look what's happened. She didn't take anyone's car and drove herself there under the blazing sun."
Feng Jiashu wasn't affected by his words at all. Instead, she said, "She was originally going to go out with me, but she went by herself on her motorcycle to save face for you. So the problem is with you, not me."
Liu Biao snorted, "Pah, nonsense. You just use sweet talk to fool her, don't you? Let me tell you, the kind of person I hate the most in my life is someone like you."
Feng Jiashu seemed to have developed a calm mind, remaining unfazed by what he said. He said, "Qiaoyun is a very smart person. She has always known whether she was deceived by my sweet words. It is you who are deceiving yourself and unwilling to admit that she likes me more."
Liu Biao opened his mouth, wanting to retort, but for a moment he didn't know what to say. After a long while, he managed to stammer out, "Bullshit, you still like me? Keep dreaming."
Feng Jiashu didn't argue with him anymore, returned a smile, and turned to get into the car.
Liu Biao got into the car immediately afterward, his heart still gripped by what he had just said. He felt confused, annoyed, and somewhat saddened.
I was a little distracted while driving and almost scraped someone, and got yelled at.
He couldn't help but curse under his breath: "Damn it, Feng Jiashu is all talk and no action! If it were before, I would have definitely found someone to teach him a lesson."
That won't work now; we live in a society governed by the rule of law.
A short while later, the two arrived at the convention center. After parking, they walked out while texting He Qiaoyun with their heads down.
The convention center was huge, and the roads were winding and confusing, so Liu Biao got a little lost.
Feng Jiashu was involved in the investment in this building back then, and he often came to attend major events or summits, so he is very familiar with the roads here.
He quickly found He Qiaoyun.
“This time, I found you first,” he said to her with a smile.
He Qiaoyun knew he was referring to the time she got separated from them during the last National Day holiday trip.
The sun was shining brightly today, and he stood halfway in the light, his tall and upright figure drawing attention. Coupled with his composed appearance, he looked like a billionaire tycoon featured in a financial magazine.
"Have you been waiting long?" he said.
He Qiaoyun quickly looked away from him, shaking her head to hide her embarrassment at being stared at, "No, I just arrived too."
Finally, she asked, "By the way, where's Liu Biao?"
Feng Jiashu: "They're probably stuck in traffic. Why don't we go inside first?"
He Qiaoyun glanced at her phone. Liu Biao had clearly said he had arrived five minutes ago, so he was probably lost.
She replied to him: "Where are you?"
Liu Biao replied instantly: [Arrived, passed by, two minutes ago.]
He Qiaoyun replied: 【Okay.】
She put down her phone and said, "He'll be here soon, let's wait for him."
Feng Jiashu said calmly, "He's a grown man, he won't get lost."
He Qiaoyun glanced up at him and thought to herself: He smells so much jealousy. Is he jealous?
As if reading her mind, Feng Jiashu smiled faintly and said, "Yes, I'm a little jealous."
He Qiaoyun's face suddenly flushed; who would be so blunt about being jealous?
But the contrast between his serious demeanor and his ambiguous remarks is kind of cool.
As they were talking, Liu Biao came running over, panting, clutching two tickets. "I'm here," he said, still catching his breath, and eagerly handed the tickets to He Qiaoyun. "Qiaoyun, here you go."
He Qiaoyun took the ticket. "Okay, thank you."
"Why are you so polite?"
She had two tickets, one given to her by Feng Jiashu and the other by Liu Biao.
I couldn't refuse either of them, so I accepted both, trying to be fair to both.
Feng Jiashu glanced at the two tickets in her hand and found the one Liu Biao had given her particularly glaring.
Liu Biao also found Feng Jiashu's votes irritating and annoying, like a persistent ghost.
He Qiaoyun: "Let's go in quickly."
"Okay," the two replied.
The auto show venue was large and bustling, with people everywhere. He Qiaoyun, accompanied by two "bodyguards" on her left and right, was not afraid of getting separated from them at all.
Liu Biao somehow got hold of a map showing the auto show and asked, "Qiaoyun, do you have a brand you like?"
He Qiaoyun shook her head, "No, actually I don't know much about cars, let me learn about them first."
Liu Biao said, "I think the Mercedes C-Class is enough; it's sufficient for driving."
This time, Feng Jiashu didn't disagree with him and said, "Hmm, I can consider it."
Liu Biao glanced at Feng Jiashu indifferently and muttered a soft "tsk".
He Qiaoyun asked, "How much does a Mercedes-Benz C-Class cost approximately?"
Liu Biao: "After all that, it's..."
As he spoke, he paused and gave Feng Jiashu a wink.
