Chapter 61 The New Psychiatrist
Chapter 61 The New Psychiatrist
Feng Family Villa.
That noon, Ding Ruolian released Tian Tian, who had been hungry all day.
Tian Tian hadn't eaten anything for a day and a night, and her steps were weak as she went downstairs; she was swaying as if she were about to collapse.
Ding Ruolian kicked her impatiently, "Stop pretending."
Tian Tian didn't even have the strength to look up at her; she just instinctively walked towards the restaurant.
Ding Ruolian brought out a bowl of leftovers from last night's meal and said in a condescending tone, "Eat up."
If Feng Jiashu hadn't been coming back today, she probably wouldn't have let Tiantian out until tonight.
Tian Tian was so hungry that she ate the slightly spoiled food with relish.
Seeing how tenacious she was, Ding Ruolian was furious. "How dare you just stay here and eat and drink for free!"
Tian Tian lowered her head and didn't speak, and the food in her mouth suddenly tasted like cardboard.
at this time.
Outside the villa.
A black Maybach slowly drove into the garage. The driver quickly got out of the car and respectfully opened the rear door. "Mr. Feng, please."
Feng Jiashu bowed slightly and stepped out of the car.
The driver closed the car door, then opened the trunk and unloaded the luggage.
"Mr. Feng, what are the arrangements for later?" the driver said as he pressed the elevator button from the basement to the building.
As they were talking, the elevator arrived.
Feng Jiashu got on the elevator and said, "A friend recommended a psychologist who has returned from abroad. I'm planning to take Tian Tian to see him. Maybe a different doctor will make a difference."
The elevator slowly came to a stop on the first floor.
Ding Ruolian has very sharp ears. She was startled when she heard the elevator make a "ding" sound.
In her panic, she snatched the bowl of leftover food from in front of Tian Tian and rushed into the kitchen.
Feng Jiashu said to the driver, "Help me put my luggage upstairs." Then he walked towards the kitchen.
Tian Tian turned her head and saw Feng Jiashu return, but he remained unmoved, simply sitting quietly.
Feng Jiashu walked over, sat down in the chair next to her, and asked, his smile fading, "Have you been eating on time these past few days at home?"
Tian Tian gazed at him, lost in thought.
Feng Jiashu then asked, "Did Aunt Ding bring a lot of people home the day before yesterday?"
Tian Tian tugged at the hem of her clothes with her little hands and nodded gently.
Feng Jiashu's expression turned completely cold. "Xiao Ding!"
Upon hearing the stern summons, Ding Ruolian felt a cold sweat break out on her back. Hesitantly, she walked out of the kitchen, head bowed, avoiding Feng Jiashu's gaze, her voice pitiful: "Mr. Feng..."
Feng Jiashu slammed his fist on the table, his voice filled with rage: "I asked you to take care of Tian Tian, and this is how you take care of her?! Bringing people home without permission, this is not what a nanny should do!"
Ding Ruolian's fingers trembled slightly, and she quickly begged for forgiveness: "Mr. Feng, I really didn't mean it, I had no choice, I'll never dare to do it again, I swear..."
When Tian Tian saw Ding Ruolian begging for mercy, her hands were clenched so tightly that her nails dug into her flesh.
Feng Jiashu couldn't fire the nanny immediately until he found a new one. After thinking for a moment, he said, "I'll deduct a month's salary and all performance bonuses."
Ding Ruolian breathed a sigh of relief, her tone as if she were thanking a god for his grace, "Thank you, Mr. Feng. I will definitely behave myself and work hard from now on, and I will definitely take good care of Tian Tian."
Feng Jiashu ignored her and stood up, saying gently to Tian Tian, "Tian Tian, go upstairs and change your clothes. Go out with your uncle."
Tian Tian nodded gently and went upstairs.
Ding Ruolian stood aside, not daring to move, but her heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled down. This little girl was mute and couldn't speak. Even if she was discovered, it wouldn't matter. After all, she was already sick, and being mute was just a worsening of her condition!
A short while later, Tian Tian changed her clothes and came downstairs.
Feng Jiashu led them down the elevator to the underground parking lot to get a car and leave.
On the road.
Feng Jiashu gave Tian Tian a heads-up beforehand: "Tian Tian, we're going to see a new psychologist this time. Just answer whatever the doctor asks, okay?"
Tian Tian didn't know how to respond to him because she couldn't make a sound.
Seeing that she didn't speak, Feng Jiashu assumed she had agreed, so he didn't ask any further questions and turned to make a phone call.
Tian Tian sat in the car, gazing at the fleeting scenery outside the window.
About half an hour later, the car slowly stopped downstairs at a psychological counseling center.
Feng Jiashu took Tian Tian upstairs.
The receptionist saw them and asked, "Do you have an appointment?"
As soon as he finished speaking, a young and intelligent woman came forward. "Mr. Feng, you've arrived." The woman's gaze shifted downwards, and she greeted Tian Tian gently. "You must be Tian Tian?"
When Tian Tian saw strangers, she instinctively stepped back, feeling somewhat uneasy.
The woman smiled, took out a few candies from her pocket, and handed them to her. "Sister is a doctor here, not a bad person."
Tian Tian raised her head in confusion and looked at Feng Jiashu.
Feng Jiashu introduced her to Dr. Xue Jing, saying, "This is Dr. Xue Jing, who will be giving you psychological treatment."
Tian Tian clutched at her clothes, unmoved by the candy in Xue Jing's hand.
Xue Jing took back the candy. "Okay, if you don't like candy, I'll bring you something else next time." She said to Feng Jiashu, "Mr. Feng, this way please."
Feng Jiashu led Tian Tian inside.
Xue Jing stopped in front of a door, opened it, and said, "Come in together first, we need to fill out a form."
Feng Jiashu took Tian Tian inside. After filling out basic information, Xue Jing asked him to leave, leaving Tian Tian alone.
The door closed, and Tian Tian sat obediently and quietly, her beautiful big eyes filled with confusion and fear.
Xue Jing opened another door. "Tian Tian, come with your sister."
Tian Tian glanced back at the door, and after a long while, she got up and hesitantly walked over.
This door leads to a playroom specially designed for children. The colorful decorations easily attract children's attention, aiming to bring doctors and patients closer together.
Tian Tian went inside, sat on a pink seashell-shaped swivel sofa, picked up the teddy bear from the floor, and hugged it to her chest.
Xue Jing closed the door, pulled up a chair and sat down opposite Tian Tian, her tone gentle: "Tian Tian, this is my secret base. No one will know if we talk here. Is there anything you want to say to me?"
Tian Tian looked at her, remaining silent for a long time.
Xue Jing asked some basic questions, such as where she went to school, whether she had any friends at school, and what kind of friends she had, etc.
Tian Tian remained silent, as if she were mute.
Xue Jing was a little puzzled and asked again, "Tian Tian, is it because my question is too difficult?"
"Or are you saying you can't speak?"
She immediately dismissed the idea in her mind; if he couldn't speak, Feng Jiashu wouldn't have kept it a secret.
Just as she was about to rephrase her question, Tian Tian nodded gently.
Xue Jing was stunned for a moment, then asked again, "Tian Tian, are you... unable to speak?"
Tian Tian looked at her and nodded affirmatively.
Xue Jing's expression immediately became somewhat troubled. "Tian Tian, have you always been unable to speak, or did you suddenly lose the ability to speak?"
She immediately felt stupid after asking the question.
If they can't even speak, how are people supposed to respond?
She got up and went outside.
