Chapter 27 Fertilizer
Chapter 27 Fertilizer
Another sleepless night passed. Mu Yunyun slept until the sun was high in the sky, then lay weakly on the stone bed, her hands supporting her lower back, somewhat regretting her choice the night before.
This big gray wolf definitely has dog genes; it's so mischievous.
Several times, she almost said that she was pregnant, but she swallowed the words back down.
With the mallards around, if the chicks were actually harmed, they would definitely be alerted. However, the mallards didn't utter a single word all night.
Wolf Fang left early this morning. Today he's going to the forest with the tribe's hunting team to prepare for the upcoming snow season.
Hao Bai, on the other hand, was quite relaxed. He possessed a fourth-tier purple talent, and hunting was as easy for him as playing a game.
This terrifying strength had already been proven before they even formed a partnership.
Mu Yunyun stretched. There was a bowl of water next to the cave, which was prepared by Langya. There was also a piece of roasted meat and a red cherry on the small stone table, which was obviously breakfast.
Hearing that Mu Yunyun had gotten up, Hao Bai strode in, his fair and gentle face covered with two smears of black soot, which looked quite comical.
Clearly, he doesn't know how to start a fire, but he's trying to cook, and unfortunately, his skills are really terrible.
He awkwardly touched his face with his large, dark hands and said shyly:
"Yunyun, I'm sorry, I just wanted to start a fire, heat up the water for you, and grill the meat for you while I'm at it."
"I'm sorry, I'm really useless! I can't even do this right."
Mu Yunyun looked at Haobai, who was crying, and felt both amused and a little helpless.
His practical skills are far inferior to those of Wolf Fang!
Mu Yunyun took out the matchbox and patiently taught him once more. Hao Bai's attention, however, remained fixed on her beautiful eyes and soft lips. When he saw the lingering red marks on her neck, his heart stirred with excitement.
He tried his best to restrain himself, wanting to take good care of his little female and not be outdone by Wolf Fang.
Amazingly, Mu Yunyun only taught him once, and he was able to light it.
The two quickly finished washing up and had breakfast. Mu Yunyun planned to make a pair of underwear for Haobai as well. Langya was very obedient and had been wearing them all the time ever since Mu Yunyun asked him to.
Hao Bai was the second beast master. Before he could make this request, he was wearing a short white downy feather coat on his upper and lower body, which was transformed from his personal feathers.
However, his lower body was completely naked, which Mu Yunyun found hard to bear. She could ignore the other males, but her beast husband certainly couldn't be left like that.
After hearing Mu Yunyun's explanation, Haobai fully accepted it and began searching for animal hides and bone needles, appearing quite happy.
Because from the side, it's clear that the little female really likes him.
But even though they are both beast tamers, Hao Bai's skill in sewing animal hides is far inferior to Lang Ya's.
There's no other way; the underwear issue has to be put on hold for now, and we'll wait for Wolf Fang to come back and sew him a couple more.
Hao Bai wasn't sad at all, and cheekily took her hand and said:
"I'm just too stupid. When Langya comes back, I'll ask him for help and make sure I learn this skill so I won't embarrass Yunyun."
Mu Yunyun was very pleased to see his carefree and easygoing nature. No one can be good at everything; everyone has to have some shortcomings so that the sunshine can shine in.
She reached out and patted his head, smiling as she said:
"Ah Hao is also very skilled. He wields his feather blade very well, cuts bones very well, and catches a lot of prey."
Hao Bai looked on with pure enjoyment. His little female was just too good; she was worth protecting with his life.
At this moment, Mu Yunyun looked at the turned-up fields in the yard; it was time to start composting.
However, there is a tricky problem: Wolf Fang is not home today, so how is she going to find animal droppings? Will the young chieftain of the Snow Owl tribe in front of her condescend to help her find them?
With a tentative feeling, Mu Yunyun slowly asked:
“Ah Hao, look, we’ve been turning over these three plots of land for a few days now. I’m thinking of planting some jade bok choy, but right now we have a problem to overcome.”
"A problem? What problem? Yunyun, tell me quickly, I promise I can solve it!"
Hao Bai looked excited and patted his strong chest to assure her.
Mu Yunyun was also a little excited and eager to know what Haobai's expression would be when he learned about the difficult problem.
"That's right. In my hometown, when the land is planted for the first time, we have to use farmyard manure to fertilize it so that the vegetables that grow will be big and delicious."
"What is farmyard manure? Is it hard to find?"
Seeing the little female's somewhat evasive gaze, Haobai was even more puzzled.
"Farm manure is basically just excrement, from animals or beasts!"
An invisible bolt of lightning struck, leaving Hao Bai speechless. He had considered what it might be, but he never expected it to be this!
Orcs are actually evolved from wild beasts. The forests are vast and orcs are rare. They defecate and urinate anywhere, without any fixed schedule.
In most cases, people simply go to relieve themselves in a dense forest where there are few people.
Only Mu Yunyun was pampered by Langya. He would specially hollow out a section of wood to make a wooden bucket so that she could relieve herself in the cave, and then take it out to clean it up.
After thinking for a moment, Hao Bai timidly spoke:
“Yunyun, the farmyard manure you want is probably hard to find, but I can go to the forest. The droppings of large wild animals should be easier to find.”
"But it might have a smell, are you sure you want to bring it back?"
Hao Bai still couldn't quite believe it. Animal excrement was something that everyone in the beast world would scorn and avoid if they saw it.
Mu Yunyun didn't expect Hao Bai to agree so readily. Orc dung would definitely be difficult to collect, but the dung from large wild animals was worth a try.
"It's okay. We'll bury it in the field to compost after we bring it back, so it won't have much of a smell."
"Okay, we'll listen to Yunyun. What Yunyun says must make sense."
Once he received the little female's answer, Hao Bai had no more reservations. He started to think about where large wild animals roamed and where the animal droppings were big enough for him to collect.
Mu Yunyun was also very surprised. This damn love-struck brain made this big, clumsy bird show no signs of resistance at all, making it completely unchallenging.
The thought of a handsome, white-haired young man carrying a large wooden bucket, wandering through various forests, pinching his nose and picking up wild animal droppings, seems a bit comical.
Handsome man turns into a latrine cleaner in an instant!
If Chief Silvermoon or Chief Snowowl saw this scene, wouldn't they hang her up and beat her?
Thinking of this, Mu Yunyun couldn't help but feel a little scared.
But the words had already been spoken, and there was no way to take them back, so I could only bite the bullet and go on.
Hao Bai didn't resist at all. He was happy to do anything that could help his little female, even if it was shoveling manure.
He conjured his feathered blade, found two large pieces of wood, hollowed them out to make two large wooden buckets, and then used wooden sticks to make carrying poles.
Mu Yunyun helped him twist two straps out of animal hide and installed them securely, making a simple version of a manure bucket.
With his 2.3-meter height and fair complexion, the sight of him carrying a not-so-small manure bucket was both comical and funny.
Mu Yunyun secretly made up her mind that when Langya returned, she would build a dry toilet at the last minute, so that the problem of farmyard manure would be completely solved.
Mu Yunyun planned to go along too, as she often helped her grandmother irrigate the fields with farmyard manure when she was little.
She had Haobai use two large tree branches, flatten one end and tie the other end with animal skin rope to make a simple clamp.
Hao Bai did not stop her. His fourth-tier purple talent was more than enough to ensure the little female's safety. With the little female by his side, he felt like he had inexhaustible energy.
Transforming into a great snowy owl, it gripped the carrying pole with its claws, crouched down to let the little female lie in the safest spot on its back, and set off into the dark forest.
