When Yan Zuozuo woke up, she felt weak all over and had a terrible headache. Her eyes were swollen and painful, and she felt dizzy and disoriented.

She drank way too much yesterday; she should never torture herself like that again.

"Zuo Zuo, you're finally awake! I was so worried!" A familiar voice came from inside. Yan Zuo Zuo was startled and looked at Cai Ke Ren, who was filled with worry, in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"You drank too much last night and the director happened to find you. He called me to come and take care of you."

Yan Zuozuo smiled awkwardly: "Thank you for your trouble."

"What are you saying? You've helped me before, this is only what I should do." Cai Keren brought her a hangover soup from the bedside. "Drink it quickly, this is my exclusive recipe, I wouldn't cook it for just anyone."

Yan Zuozuo smiled gratefully, then suddenly seemed to remember something and quickly looked for her phone. She finally found it in her bag, and relieved that Cai Keren hadn't seen anything she shouldn't have.

There was an unread text message on her phone. She opened it and saw that it was from Meng Xinyu: If you know what's good for you, go to the police station now and drop the case. Otherwise, you can wait for me to hand the recording over to your aunt and cousin!

Yan Zuozuo narrowed her eyes, actually feeling scared. Even if she could prove her innocence with Ou Luhan, the fact remained that she had slept in the same bed with him. She wasn't sure if Chi's mother would forgive her if she found out…

Yan Zuozuo gave an awkward smile and quickly deleted the message. She got out of bed, glanced at the time, and realized it was already eleven o'clock. She turned to look at Cai Keren and said, "Sorry, I made you late for work."

Cai Keren looked at her amusedly: "Are you drunk? It's Saturday today, no work."

Yan Zuozuo was taken aback. She'd been so preoccupied lately that she hadn't even noticed Saturday, a day she always looked forward to. She couldn't help but give a wry smile. After a pause, she said, "I'm going back to the compound today. Grandma misses you a lot. Do you want to come with me?"

“Great! It’s been a while since I last visited your aunt. Let’s go together.”

Yan Zuozuo nodded, finished washing up, and went to the military compound with Cai Keren. On the way, she thought of Cai Keren's relationship with the civil servant and jokingly asked, "You and the civil servant are getting along well now, when are you planning to get married?"

Cai Keren blushed slightly, a rare occurrence, and stammered, "It's still early, he hasn't proposed yet..."

"So, you're saying you'll say yes if he proposes?"

Cai Keren checked the time; she had been waiting for over an hour. She had a date that afternoon, so she nodded and said, "Okay."

Yan Zuozuo and Cai Keren were about to leave when Meng Xinyu angrily shouted, "Don't you dare leave!"

Yan Zuozuo turned to look at her: "I wonder if there's anything else, cousin?"

"I'm hungry, go and cook for me," Meng Xinyu said arrogantly.

Yan Zuozuo sneered: "Sorry, I have no such obligation."

Meng Xinyu's face turned cold: "This is your home, I am a guest, is this how you treat your guests? I'll have to have a good talk with my aunt later."

"You know you're a guest, so act like one and don't annoy others!"

"You dare talk to me like that? Aren't you afraid...?"

"I've already said, do whatever you want. If you've forgotten my mother-in-law's number, I can call it for you right now. But remember, don't try to threaten me with that trivial matter again. I won't fall for it!" Yan Zuozuo's words were sharp, causing Meng Xinyu to stiffen. She stared intently at Yan Zuozuo, "Aren't you afraid?"

Meng Xinyu hung up the call. Damn it, no one answered her aunt's phone. She glared at Yan Zuozuo fiercely. "Consider yourself lucky! I'll give you a day to think it over. Either drop the case, or wait for me to tell your aunt. You decide!" With that, Meng Xinyu walked outside and bumped into Yan Zuozuo hard as she passed by.

Yan Zuozuo sighed, and only after watching Meng Xinyu leave did her body go limp, and she leaned against the wall.

Should she drop the case, or not? She was torn.

The phone rang. It was Cai Keren calling from her car. "Zuo Zuo, I'm already at the door. Where are you? Come out quickly, I'll take you home."

"Okay, wait a moment." Yan Zuozuo took a deep breath, composed herself, and quickly went out.

Meng Xinyu got into her car angrily. That damned Yan Zuozuo, she wouldn't let it go so easily. She had to find Qin Yun quickly to discuss a plan. If Yan Zuozuo insisted on calling the police, they would have no leverage against her.

Just as she started her car to leave, her phone rang. She paused, picked it up, and immediately pressed the answer button. "Who is it?"

"Ms. Meng, do you remember the car accident three years ago? I heard there were blind spots in the surveillance footage.
